Gift Registry

Collin and I have decided we are very blessed and don't need many things. We already have a house and are well stocked with items for everyday use. We would like gifts to go to our favorite organizations that do good work in our communities both locally and abroad.

We have a list of organizations below with links to their information and links to their donation pages. All we ask is that you inform us of which organization you donated to. We hope to raise awareness for these great organizations while simultaneously supporting their efforts. The list includes Christian and secular, local and global organizations. They focus on disaster relief, eradicating hunger, building homes, human rights, environmental protection, animal rights, maternal and baby care, Christian ministry, and much more.  Also, please consider volunteering. Thanks for your support in advance.

If you want to go with the traditional gifts, we have registries at Bed, Bath and Beyond; Target and Sears.

Butler Springs Christian Camp

Information
Donations

LeeAnn attended BSCC as a camper since elementary school and volunteered there for four consecutive years after her high school graduation. The camp is very close to her heart and a healthy place for kids to learn more about God while enjoying the things they love. She knows the camp staff (Keith, Gus, and Chris) personally and knows their giving hearts and upbeat nature makes this camp a fun, safe place for all that attend. BSCC is located in Hillsboro, Ohio.

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to assisting children, families, and their communities by attacking poverty and injustice. Additionally, the organization provides emergency assistance worldwide. LeeAnn and Collin currently sponsor four children through world vision and periodically donate to several of their causes.

LeeAnn had the privilege to be part of a Lifeline work team that traveled to Grand-GoĆ¢ve, Haiti, where she met many wonderful people who were still suffering from the aftermath of the last large earthquake. Lifeline provides life sustaining, educational, religious and spiritual services. They also employ natives and direct work teams to build housing for free to sponsored families. Lifeline is located in several places including Canada, Cuba, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, and the Navajo Nation.

Collin and LeeAnn both love Habitat for Humanity and their mission to both provide and empower people by giving them a home. Their methods are responsible and they have impacted many. Collin and LeeAnn have both volunteered for this group and so has Collin's father, Keith. The organization is global and serves in many countries including the United States.

This organization rehabilitates victims of sex trafficking and raises awareness of the problem. They are based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Donations: 115 East Washington Street, Sabina, Ohio 45169

LeeAnn attended Sabina Church of Christ before moving to Nebraska. Her home church is close to her heart, as are the people that attend it. She believes the church makes a huge impact in their local communities (Sabina, Wilmington, New Vienna, etc.) through religious, spiritual, monetary, and volunteer contributions. The church is located in the village of Sabina, Ohio.

First Christian Church is Collin's church home. Also, this is where LeeAnn and Collin were married. The church is located in Wilmington, OH.

Donations: 937-382-2424

This organization provides aid to pregnant women including medical care, counseling, and baby needs. Members of the Sabina Church of Christ and Wilmington Church of Christ support and volunteer with this organization. They are moving to a new location soon, which means big expenses. They are located in Wilmington, Ohio.

LeeAnn was impacted by the story of the Invisible Children --- slaves forced into being soldiers and sexual companions for the LRA --- when the IC organization held a showing of one of their documentaries at Salem College. Many developments in the war have happened since then, but this organization continues to fight child slavery and rehabilitate those who were given the blessing of escape. The organization is located in San Diego, California.

Collin and LeeAnn adopted their beloved cats at Town and Country Humane Society, so this organization is very special to them. The no-kill shelter takes very good care of the animals they look after and are very careful about adopting to the right families. They are located in Papillion, Nebraska.

LeeAnn volunteered with the Forsyth Humane Society once while she attended college. She fell in love with the no-kill shelter and continues to support them to this day. The organization is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

LeeAnn learned of Make a Stand after seeing a documentary in Wilmington, Ohio about a ten-year-old girl who wished to see the end of slavery. This documentary, partly directed by Wilmington, Ohio local, Grant Peelle, raised awareness of modern slavery and what Vivienne Harr, the aforementioned girl, was doing about it. She began a lemonade stand, only asking for donations, so that she could collect money to free slaves. Now Harr is famous, has her own company (with the help of her enthusiastic parents), and is fighting for human rights across the globe. The company is located in San Rafael, California.

LeeAnn fully supports Sugartree Ministries. She has been personally and positively impacted by this organization and believes in the good they are doing in the Wilmington, Ohio community. She knows many of the people that volunteer there and the family that began the ministries as responsible, kind, and generous. Your Father's Kitchen, one of their outreaches, feeds homeless or starving people. They are located in Wilmington, Ohio.

Wedding Colors

Our wedding colors will consist of emerald green, white, navy blue, and peach. Green and white will be our main colors with navy blue and peach acting as the accent colors. I am assuming the majority is familiar with white, but many have asked me what my other wedding colors look like. So I have decided to give visuals so as to prevent any further confusion.

Emerald Green:

Think the gem.

(Source: Google Images)

Emerald is a dark green, rich in color. The bridesmaid dresses will be in this color as well as the groomsmen's ties. The photo of the woman on the right in the picture below shows the correct color.

Navy blue is a dark blue resembling the deep ocean.

Peach, in addition to white, was suggested by my best friend (Amanda)  to balance the dark colors. This is the shade I am thinking of, although other shades may be acceptable.

I am open to suggestions on how to combine these colors in wedding accessories, decorations, and flower bouquets. Hopefully these visual aids will help us with wedding shopping in the future.

Meet the Adams Family (*Snap, Snap*)

No our marriage is not a Gothic horror comedy (although it is rather comical at times) and our family is not filled with monsters --- you're thinking The Addams Family (1991). My sister, Tiffany, would make a better Morticia any day and I a Cousin Itt. Although, it's true my Uncle Mark might be able to pull off an Uncle Fester with some good makeup and my cats resemble Pugsley and Wednesday (see example below).

(Source: showbizgeek.com)

Unlike the black-clad macabre-obsessed Addams, my favorite color is green (as is my husband's) and our backyard is filled with plants not gravestones. We are a family of five --- a man, a woman, two cats, and a puppy (see photo below).

We live simply but have complex dreams. Collin is in the United States Air Force and I am a full-time writer. The cats and dog are just adorable freeloaders enjoying the benefits of our endless toiling. We are a loving family, obviously.

The Adams family, not to be confused with the Addams family, began their adventure together when Collin and LeeAnn (myself) united in holy matrimony on May 19, 2014. The cats were adopted from Town and Country Humane Society and the dog originated from a northern Nebraskan farm outside a town called Verdigre. I would highly recommend you visit this tiny Midwestern village because it is the Kolach capital of the world and...

We forgot to try the Kolaches while we were there, a mistake I fear will haunt me for the rest of my life. At least we got a cute Collie out of the deal... a very, very carsick Collie... which may be why we forgot to try the Kolaches.

(Source: Google)

Despite the ups and downs to the making of our family (there are many hills outside of Verdigre), we have decided to celebrate our crazy adventure. We will do this by renewing our vows on June 13, 2015, in the presence of close family and friends. This website will serve to update everyone involved about wedding celebration details and we sincerely hope it will be a helpful tool.

If you have any questions about the celebration please feel free to call or text me or Collin. We are excited for our formal affair and appreciate your continued support and prayers for our marriage.
